What's the difference?
A hand polish can remove most but not all minor imperfections on the paint work as there is only so much 'elbow grease' that can go into the hand polishing process.
Whereas, a machine polish will remove a majority of swirls and small imperfection due to the constant and consistent level of rotations a machine can offer.

Machine polishing starts from £180.
Wax or paint sealants are used to enhance and protect a previously polished surface which is almost free from defects and imperfections on the paintwork. It is essentially a protective coat that protects the paintwork beneath.
Car wax is a non-abrasive coating which protects the paintwork especially beneficial in winter months.
